At Playa del Carmel we want everyone to be able to browse and shop on our site comfortably, including people with disabilities. We work to make the site accessible in line with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.
What we have done
- An accessibility menu is available on every page, from the round button in the bottom corner: larger text, high contrast, grayscale, highlighted links, readable font, stopped animations, large cursor, text spacing and focus highlighting. Your settings are saved for your next visit.
- The site works on desktop, tablet and phone, and with browser text resizing.
- The site can be navigated with the keyboard. Buttons and menus include descriptions for screen readers.
- Product images have alternative text with the product name.
- The site is available in Hebrew (right to left) and English, in a clear font, with a hierarchical heading structure.
- Animations on the site respect the system "reduce motion" setting.
What is not perfect yet
Some parts of the site may not be fully accessible yet, for example third-party components such as Shopify's checkout page and external payment buttons. We keep improving. If you run into a problem, we would be glad to hear about it and fix it.
